How to Play: Quick Start

HUSH is a sound-driven survival run: enter a town overrun by monsters, search for useful gear, and reach an exit before you are caught. A successful trip lets you bring your haul back to the remaining shop. Getting caught means losing what you carried, so a safe return matters as much as finding more loot.

Start with the controls

Use WASD to move. Shift runs, C crouches, and pressing crouch while running slides; Alt dives. Use E to interact with objects, Tab to open your backpack, and M to view the map. The F flashlight and N night vision help you see in dark areas. Keep the map and backpack controls handy so you can check where you are and what you have collected without guessing.

Your weapon slots are 1, 2, and 3. Q holsters a weapon, the left mouse button fires, the right mouse button aims, R reloads, and I inspects a weapon. V switches to first-person view. Cars use F to get in or out; Shift drifts, while B, G, and H control the belt, wipers, and horn.

Run a careful loot trip

Search houses, shops, the hospital, and the army camp for items. The monsters hunt by sound, so move with care and avoid treating a loud fight as the default way through an area. The game also lets you hotwire cars, board up windows, build, and barricade, giving you more ways to handle a dangerous run.

Keep track of your backpack as you explore. If you find useful supplies, decide whether the next pickup is worth the risk of moving farther from an exit. Your carried items are not secured until you make it out. When monsters catch you, the items you brought along are lost, so turn toward an exit when you have a haul you want to keep.

Bring the haul back

After escaping, use the remaining shop to turn your haul into progress. The shop offers guns, gear, gold guns, and diamonds. This creates a simple loop: prepare, search, leave before the monsters catch you, then use the return from that run to equip the next one.
